HELP for Kids' average cost of a home based program is $2,500 for up to six months of treatment for one family and provides families with a lifetime of skills to stop the cycle of abuse.

For every child not put into Foster Care this saves Connecticut's taxpayers between $10,000- $20,000 for the same six months.

HELP for Kids: AN EXCHANGE CLUB PARENTING SKILLS CENTER

For almost 30 years, HELP for Kids has been keeping Fairfield County children safe while working to build stronger, more resilient, and more loving families. The Stamford-based non-profit agency has assisted over 10,000 children since its founding and serves hundreds of at-risk families every year. Experienced parent educators work closely with individual families and children to provide research-based, home-centered intervention programs and teach safe-parenting skills - an approach that is highly-effective at stopping the cycle of child abuse and neglect. HELP for Kids programs are offered in English, Spanish and Creole, and, with 97% of clients living below the poverty line, its staff works to provide access to vital, basic community resources. The independent 501(c)3 organization - which previously did business as The Ex-change Club Parenting Skills Center - is located at 141 Franklin Street in Stamford.

Exchange Club Scholarship -Stamford Dollars for Scholars

Stamford Dollars for Scholars fills a community void by providing  scholarship assistance to high school graduates who live or attend high school in Stamford and who want to pursue education post graduation. Its belief is that education changes the lives of individuals and communities for the better.  Founded in 2011, the locally run and supported, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has a simple mission: to mobilize the community and support Stamford students with impactful scholarship awards to pursue education beyond high school.

Exchange Club of Stamford is excited to partner with Stamford Dollars for Scholars in establishing the Exchange Club of Stamford Scholarship.
